Advanced Marine uses Tritech Gemini 720ik multibeam sonar equipment.
The Gemini 720ik is a real-time, high-frequency multibeam imaging sonar. Using Tritech’s advanced processing electronics, at 1m range the sonar offers a world-class 97Hz update rate to produce high-quality, video-like imagery. This compact multibeam imaging sonar has been specifically developed for shallow water operations, with low power consumption and Compressed High-Intensity Radar Pulse (CHIRP) processing for greater definition at long range.
The Gemini 720ik’s reduced size, weight and proven reliable performance makes it the ideal sonar for use on ROVs for navigation, obstacle avoidance, target recognition and diving operations. Mounted on a diver’s helmet, it provides real-time imaging in low-visibility conditions to topside personnel via a cable married to the diver’s umbilical. Configured on a pole mount, the Gemini can provide real-time imaging during vessel operations, or in confined areas with limited or no visibility (i.e.; wastewater treatment facilities).
